Blackboard course exports and archives can take hours

Blackboard course exports and archives can take hours.  Please submit your request once and wait for email confirmation of completion. Do not start another archive until the course you are archiving is complete.

Have you made significant changes to your Fall 2017 Blackboard course?

  • If not – you DO NOT need to export a course archive because all Blackboard courses were imported into Canvas after June 7, 2017. The Canvas import included Blackboard course materials prior to June 7, 2017 (e.g., S2017, F2016, Summer 2016, S2016).
  • If you HAVE made significant changes to your Fall 2017 Blackboard course, you may consider doing an archive, visit the Creating a Blackboard Course Archive website. web guide.
